Dachshunds are fairly easy to care for. They love to go outside and enjoy exploring the forest or hunting. In fact, they were bred for hunting. Shorthaired dachshunds need little more than a bath. Wirehaired and longhaired dachshunds need brushed to remove any tangles.  They don’t eat too much as compared to a larger dog. They love carrots and I feed mine frozen carrots, cauliflower and broccoli for a good snack.
